Review in Todays Golfer
A review of the course has appeared in Today's Golfer. The review was written by Sports Journalist Steve Jackson. Here's what he wrote..…
On the border between Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, this undulating course gets better the longer the round continues.
At just over 6,000 yards off the back tees, it's not the longest track but several holes involve uphill shots so club selection is paramount. Water only comes into play once in the opening 15 holes, on the downhill par four ninth, but getting wet is a massive problem on the closing stretch.
A good round of golf can be ruined on the longish par fours at 16 and 18 holes, while the short 17th can be an intimidating tee shot over a pond.
